I am in North Carolina. I found a local 2007, 99K miles, Adventure Pkg for under $16K. That leaves room to later on add better tires, winch and front locker/LSD if there is one for the older front axle.

 

For what its worth, I looked at several different models, including an 06, 08 Adv., 07 i5, etc. I settled on the 07 i5 because it had luxury and chrome packages. I have not had any trouble doing mild off-roading and hill climbing - have not even needed 4 lo yet. But, if I had it to do over, I would probably hold out for the Adventure with at least the rear lockers and more importantly, the V8.
