Looking to buy my first H1 and looking for advice on what motor and model i should get. Will use it as daily driver and tow a toy hauler

H1s don't have huge tow ratings. You may want to rethink the toy hauler thing. 2001 -2003 is a good range. Prices are better, you are past the #8 cylinder issue and the design is solid. The 2006 Alpha is tops in power, price and towing capacity but they only made about 650 of them and at least 200 have been exported overseas.

 

I think you would be the only one in the world to use the H1 as a daily driver.

 

I drove my 2006 Alpha wagon as a daily driver. My NRA Benefactor Member and "Somewhere in Kenya a village is missing it's idiot" bumper sticker made me one of the most flipped off people in Newport Beach. LOL
