Hi all,

I've been looking for an H1 for some time now. I have an automotive background and do all of my own work, as well as have a friend that is a Hummer technician.

I recently found a local (CT) 1995 H1 with 140k miles. The engine was replaced and has 30k miles and the vehicle is stock. The current owner is not mechanically inclined and has dropped it off with a shop that specializes in Hummers to have it gone through completely.

My question is on the price and resale.. He has it listed for $37k, but I think he is slightly negotiable on the price. For those of you that know these vehicles well, do you see the market as being steady and/or appreciating? I don't want to spend this much money on something that I will end up losing on in the future. I'm also concerned if the body mileage of 140k hurts the value of an H1?

Sorry I am very new to Hummers and am coming from a German car background.
