Default Newbie!!

Hi All,

I have looked for yers for an H2 I liked and was in great shape and today it happened. found an 07 loaded with 44k on it. It spent most of its life in a heated garage here in Iowa....

Now for questions...

Anything I should pay extra attention to on the pre-delivery inspection?

It does not have a rear camera and I really want to add one.. Can a OEM camera be added? is the wiring there already or should I just add an aftermarket unit?

Any must do mods for the 07?

Thanks

Mark

Rear camera was only an option on the 08/09 models.... so no wiring or anything will be there for one. With that low of miles it should be in excellent shape.

Plenty of threads on here on the common things to look for on one like leaks from the upper lights, etc. Congrats - an H2 is unlike anything else and a very nice ride.

My 06 LE has a camera in the rear view mirror. Congrats on the new rig, it sounds like a cream puff.

Yes, in 2006 they did offer a back-up camera option. The display slid out from the right side of the rear view mirror. Not many trucks have this. I'm not sure what it would take to find the parts, but since it was an after-thought for GM (it might have even been a dealer add-on), I'm sure it wouldn't take much to add if you find the parts.

Well I brought her home today... I crawled underneath and the bottom side is as clean as the dat it came off the line, no dirt, dust, rust, nothing. I am replacing the head unit with a gps with rear camera..

Mine was similar 07 with 55k and super clean.....only had peeling chrome on the wheels (which I would never recommend to anyone). It is a great truck and super nice to drive. Congrats and enjoy it. I barely see them on the road anymore and still get a kick out of it when I do. I love the way they look.

Congrats ... 06 have a camera but your best bet is to replace the Hu (radio) with a good brand which allows a rear camera .
the one on installed on the tag frame works great

for the mods . I would say an aftermarket tranny cooler is a must .
an airdoc intake tube is a nice mod too
