Default New to the hummer h3 world

hey guys I’m really hopeful I can get some quick feedback as I only have until 5pm this evening to decide on whether I should purchase this vehicle or not. It’s a 2006 hummer h3 automatic 3.5l with 111,915 miles and has quite a few codes showing up. P0300, p0442, c0186, c0196, and u1651. Just needing a rough guesstimate to the coats of repairs and if any of these codes are anything majorly concerning. Thanks in advance for anyone that can give me any pointers.

Pointer #1. Use Google Search for the code diagnostics.
Pointer #2. Don't buy a used vehicle with a deadline.
Pointer #3. Once you see a used vehicle with a check engine light on during your inspection. RUN, very fast and very far like Forrest Gump when his mommy was sick if you can't even take the time to look up the codes or what the repairs may cost.

I thank you for your smart reply! I have looked up codes but was hopeful that someone in these threads could give me more personal answers than just a google search! Again thanks for your not so helpful reply!

Here is my pointer. Move on and find a different H3, preferably a 2007+ with the same or lower miles.

First thing to look at with every 2007 is the serial number. See my below quote from a years old post by me.

The cost to repair the codes you have is somewhere between $25 and $4200, IF you do the work yourself. Pay somebody to do it, might as well have bought a different H3.

"The S/Ns affected is any 2006 H3 lower than 287591 .... the first one started with 100,001, your truck build date will be Nov. 06 or earlier. Not all have the problem, but some could. The head issue affected not only the I5, 4s and 6s were subject to the same issues. Call GM with your vin# and build date (from the sticker in the driver's door jam) and ask.

Just in case you're gonna say, wow they didn't even build that many 3s? The VINs are assigned at the same shreveport plant building Colorados and Canyons. Their VIN sequence unit #s are mixed in and subject to the same TSB re: the head/valve issue.

The recall and extended warranty was for very early 2006s, those with the 3.5L L52 Motors built before March 31, 2006. That is not to say some 3.7L LLRs have never had a valve or head issue. All the Atlas motors built since 4/1/06 have the new hardened valve seats.
