New H1 owner from Kuwait
Hey everyone!
This is Lmu4eJ coming to you from the sandy deserts of Kuwait ( where the HMMWV debuted in operation Desert Storm ).
I've finally fulfilled my lifelong dream of owning a Hummer H1!
I recently purchased a GCC spec 1994 4-door hardtop SUT with 165k km's, it's a stock truck with no mods except a slantback that's been fitted since it was bought back in '94 ( Gonna remove it ) and a HMMWV rear bumper w/ tire carrier ( probably gonna cancel the carrier and fit the spare tire inside the bed ).
Plans are a new paint job, custom interior ( Since the OEM one is pretty dull and outdated ), new wiring and electrical upgrades, full mechanical check up, and the rest will be upgraded in time whenever I get bored from using it as a stock truck ( DMAX swap, lift kit, brush guard, roof rack, aux lighting, etc. )
I'd appreciate any advice on what to check, what to focus on upgrading, and where to source any parts I may need.
It's gonna cost me alot of time and effort to get it to where I'm comfortable using it, but it'll be worth it in the end.
Thanks in advance!

First I would do a full "C" service on the truck. www.hummerpartsguy.com. Ask for Dave, he can help you out with parts.
