Never thought I'd own a Hummer!
Hey!
Having admired the H3 since it first arrived here in OZ in 2007 I jumped at the chance to buy a 2008 Luxury, which I picked up earlier this week, and I haven't stopped grinning since. I had always thought these were the domain of the rich and had therefore never even entertained the possibility of one day owning one, but God is good so here I am .
Having owned her for 4 days I haven't had the chance to do much driving about yet but I have loved every second behind the wheel. Well almost - the heated seats (totally un-necessary in Queensland) seem too easy to accidently turn on and nearly fried my butt so I located the fuse and pulled it. Everything else is totally awesome!
Get to the Hummer!!!
And to all those ignoramuses out there who reckon that Hummers are for poseurs and wanna-be's I have only one thing to say: "Jealousy's a bitch, ain't it"

Thanks for the welcomes everybody
yes, Hummerz, that is a nifty play on words at the dealership . After a little negotiation the purchase price was AUD 27,750. I asked the dealer to do a wheel balance due to a slight vibration at 100km/hr (~60mph) and they voluntarily replaced the windscreen due to a small chip. The dealer paid six months registration so I only had to pay stamp duty (the government needs its cut) of 3.5% - just over $900. Everything but the wheels is stock standard and she has just over 200,000km (120,000 mi) on the clock so I think I paid a fair price for the closest thing to happiness money can buy .
