ORIGINAL: jdrew

I'm guessing by wed/thursday, i will have a better idea of whta's gonna happen. I'm not worried about road conditions, just the travel time. It's 4 1/2 hours in good weather... I just dont feel like driving too much more than that to go off-roading... Ya know?
I'm with JD on this one .. I have a long drive too, this assuming they even get my tubby b!tch fixed in time, and I don't really want to make a normally 3.5 hour drive in to a 6 hour nightmare drive in that crap. Not real worried about me, it's the 983098324759823745 morons on the road that bothers me :/

Well look guys, I'm really hyped up about going, but that's a LONG drive for you two to make in crappy weather, and it's not too much shorter for me and Adrian either. Let's wait and see what happens. Freezing rain is not good mixed with dirt and sand. That just makes me a little worried about our trucks sliding uncontrollably into a tree or something.

And yes, those damn Indiana drivers

one down...

Seriously, with it being this cold outside theres a couple of things we wont be able to do. 1) creek run will probably be frozen and that was our favorite trail run the last time our group went. 2) HUMMER tub will probably be frozen over so water fording is out of the question.

I'm not trying to discourage anyone, I'm certainly ok with going since I haven't had the Alpha off road just yet. Only on our dealer course behind the dealership which I can now drive with my eyes close.

Well, after today the temps in that area are only going up. On Sat., it's supposed to be slightly cloudy and 35, so the river may not be frozen. I'm still in right now.

So far it doesn't look too bad as far as the weather goes.
