BTW, @200k, transmission, transfer case, front & rear differentials; replacement, should also be considered.

Jeep gladiator rubicon is closer to a clone the Model T. Gladiator, "A box on a frame with flares and wheels". You would never find that anywhere near my driveway.

I will wait it out and see what comes up. If I needed a project I have seen a 5 speed manual base with about 200K to the north of me that could be a project but I'd rather pay a bit more for a more optioned out 3.7 I5 or an alpha.
Good plan, something will pop up. L
Longevity, parts availability (basic parts in the middle of nowhere) and ease of maintenance (alternator for 1) puts the 5.3L Alpha up there for me. You can always add the leather power/heated seats, Lockers, 4to1 Tcase to a Base Alpha.

Could you please expand on why you believe this? I have 250k kms on my 09 H3t Alpha and haven't been forced to spend any money on it besides regular maintenance. Seriously

Statement was based on purchasing a used vehicle not knowing maintenance schedule performed? You have 155k miles, with regular maintenance, nothing to worry about. Transmission fluid change every 15-30k miles(monitor fluid color), diffs and tc fluid change every 15k miles.
