Mr. Red Roc'T Metamorphosis
I use the term metamorphosis not as in the pupa to the butterfly, but like Bruce Banner into THE HULK!
Keep an eye on our progress as we will try to keep you updated on each of the modifications to Mr. Red Roc'T in the upcoming installments. The story will start at the begining Friday March 30, 2012 @ approx 7:45pm EST
Day 1: The Delivery of the 6100lb'der!
YEP, he IS a Virgin, just look how clean his belly is!

Day 2: We went to the store for some new shoes.
He was jealous of his brothers shoes and Bling so they swapped. I have always been a fan of the OEM slotted 7s/14 spoke rims. These are the original rims off of Mr. Orange. A wax twice a year keeps'em looking good.
Tough Chick said "man I forgot how weak the factory horn is, replace it ASAP! So, right after the shoe swap we headed to the horn store (Harbor Freight) for a WOLO that was on special (install thread to follow).
We then headed to the auto parts store for some yum-yums (Techtron) and some bodily fluids (synthetic oil). Sorry no pix of that! Then off to the automoblie drink shop (Shell) for his first drink with yum-yums added (gotta keep his fuel system clean). Sorry, no pix of that either.
Day 3 will start with the t-bars, roof rack, lights, horns and maybe something else if we have the time.

Day 3: We started off under the hood due to Mr. Red Roc'T complaing about not being able to breathe properly. Removed his old restrictive intestine looking thingy and his lung filter, AirDoc and new WIX filter on! He likey!!! Yeah, it's really clean under there too!
NOTE: 2008 Alpha has a dark grey engine cover, 2010 Alpha has a black cover.
While under I had his hood open I removed his toophs (grille) and installed the WOLO Dual tone air horn and a FIAMM Low Tone horn. The combo gives him a loud "Nice driving **** Hole!" or "WTF are you doing in the fast lane!". Fabbed up a simple bracket for the WOLO, removed the stickers, painted the top black and doubled up on the OEM horn mount for the FIAMM. Also swapped out his bulbs with 4 Silver Star Ultras (stolen from Mr. Blue).
Next: Mr. Red Roc'T was compalining again (whiny SOB)! This time it was about his lack of height compared to his Bros. Well a few cranks of his leg lengtheners (T-bar bolts) and he is now @ 22 1/2" for now until the chin guard (BA bumper) is finished and installed.
Note: No rubbing AT ALL before the crank with the 315 MTZs. We will see if it rubs now???
NOTE: I am doing this to stuff in reverse to 2 other rigs! So it is taking me some time to R7R on those also. I think I went a little too low on Mr. Blue (lowrider).

Day 3 Continued: He started whining again but this time he wanted a hat! So we mounted his hat with 6 forward facing Bosch Light (from theBroken). I am trying to source 4 more for the rear if anyone knows where to get them. Hi-Lift and shovel to come later.
NOTE: I put the OEM roof lights up there with his hat on and it looked stupid. Just too much going on up there.
That's all for now! :bye3:

I guess we can count that!

Awesome thread and new purchase Taint, Got a HUUUUUGE tub of popcorn popped for this one. Hate the stock horns on the 3's and T's, good little upgrade. My wife says they sound like a baby farting into a pillow, lol. I've got one of those horns around the shop somewhere in a box but can't locate the instructions and extra parts, grrr.

Beachbum, I thought you had AirHorns?
No need for instructions, there is a "+" and a "-" on the power tabs. Mount with a simple bolt and nut. I am using the stock horn leads just swapped in a 20amp fuse (the 10 amp went pop). After the fuse change I have blew it for 20 seconds stright with the 20 amp fuse and the OEM wires never even got warm.
