I have tracked down a local SnugTop slant back (SB) and was wondering a few questions:

1a) What is the going rate of a slant back with a broken strut?
1b) What price would be a good deal for purchase vs a fair vs a poor deal?

2a) How difficult is it to find a replacement strut for the SB? Are these parts readily accessible?
2b) How much would it cost to acquire a strut?
2c) How difficult would this be to install a new strut, or would this be better going in to the shop for?

All of these things I want to consider in regards to an offer.

1. Depends on the condition, color, etc. Between $800 - $4,000

2. Call Snugtop and ask

 

I would guess that it's just a generic gas-charged strut, easily (and cheaply) available online, so I can't see that issue affecting the price much if any.
