so the factory xm/onstar antenna on the top of my H3 was either knocked off in the car wash or some idiot broke it off. the portion i'm guessing that's under the main piece is still there (the board and what have you) so it's still attached to the roof, but because the upper part is now gone i'm not getting any satellite radio and the onstar light within the rearview mirror is red.

i have the antenna that came with one of my stand alone sirius/xm radios, and was wondering if anyone knows if i can use that till i can order a replacement factory one ? i've searched out other postings on here, but it was more about someone swapping for an aftermarket head unit and wanting to use the factory antenna. what i'm basically wanting to do is the opposite... sirius/xm antenna to factory head unit. also, my head unit is the 6 disc version NOT the GPS unit... so no messing with other connections.

one posting i read on here was mentioning the satellite connection box behind the glove box, so if that's easier than removing the whole head unit that would be a lot easier for me. but will wait to hear back from someone that has done this or knows more about it.
