Sorry man, If you can't remove a wheel well liner without notes it is possible you will not have the ability to properly install the fender mounted antenna base.
Might want to take it to a pro.

Passenger side here, after a CB Photo Chipmunk trail run at night.... It is a bunch of pop out retainer clips, might be a screw or two. I broke it good.

Had to take off the splash guard first. The bumper need not come off, but mine needed fixin back then.

There is a tool for popping off the fasteners. Some folks use a flat head screwdriver to pop them out.

I use a little nail remover that applies pressure to both sides of the fastener.

Yeah, you can get panel removal tools that make the removal of those clips really easy.

Doc, I love those hood handles you've got; got a link or name?

They are SMA hood handles.

Bought them on ebay years back after SMA went under, chrome was all I could get my hands on. Since I have sand blasted them, primed with self etching primer, sealed with semi flat black paint, topped with Duplicolor Bed Armor. Then through bolted them to the hood on the 09 so there is zero adhesive under my hood louver. Looks like this now.

Yes, the handles don't match the contour of the hood (angled down/inward).

Different style, but mine angle outward just like Doc's.
