Optima Batteries are overpriced junk. Went through a bunch for years with different boats without issues..... then the Red Top I put in my favorite Oldsmobile that decided it should spring a leak, created a huge mess to clean up. Never going that route again!

Currently have an 11 year old Batteries Plus in the boat that I am waiting to see how long it will go.

your opinion Doc, but i don't think so, know also lots of people with 4x4, French and Germany and in the States, that have yellow or red optima's and never had issues.

All Johnson Controls automotive batteries are Junk! I wouldn't buy any of their Mexican crap.
