Default Weird question

Does anyone know when they changed the power windows switch location on the front driver and passenger door panels. I know 2006 has the switches on the flat portion where your arm would rest. But on the 2007’s, it seems like I’ve seen them there and I’ve also seen some where they are mounted on the upward portion of the handle. Was it a mid-year change? Or are people mistaken in what year their H3 is??

2006...window switches are on the flat part of door panel

2007...window switches are on upward angled part of door panel....BUT I’ve seen some 2007’s with the switch location of the 2006...maybe a mid year change??

The upward switches were a new design for the '08 model. Easy to check vin for production date. Maybe someone changed the panel in last 12yrs? If indeed oem, could have crossed model yrs? Check manufacturing dates:

Thanks...i originally thought the change came with the 08’s but as I’m looking thru listings I’m noticing that there are quite a few 07’s that have the 08 design...thinking it might of been a mid year change thanks again

On unrelated note, if I get a hold on 2008 H3 door, will they fit fine in my 2007 H3?
And all electrical connections/mirrors will work fine?

Rooch, you are 100% correct.
Mid year 2007 the H3 went through what is called by GM, "mid-year enhancement".
That is when the door panels changed along with a couple other items.
Some 07s have the old panels and some have the new.
As you will see if you look in autotrader.com, cars.com, carfox.com, etc

Yes, my early 2007 (built Nov. 06) had the low/flat mounted window & door controls, later 07s and from 08 on all have them mounted forward on an angle.

It has been done. Not versed on the idiosyncrasies of the swap.
I do know the mirror controls will work backward.
