Default water soaked floor padding

i pulled the trim under the back hatch to run a wire. noticed damp dust. i lifted the floor pad and it was soaked, dripping!
pulling it out was an exercise, moving the rear seat that i had just reinstalled last week, pulling the side panels and window trim,a teardown.
im laying it out for a few days of ,rare, sunshine.
wonder how water gets in a good tight hatch.
im amazed that there is zero rust,my jeeps would be rusted away by now, epoxy paint??
its a 2010 and it looks factory fresh! lucky me.
but a warning,i cant be alone with this...check it out...

Dr Tom,
Either your rear sunroof drain tubes are doing it or it the holes where the fender flares attach https://www.hummerforums.com/forum/h...-soaked-40795/

Sunroof drains! I checked my sunroof seal yesterday, and found a lot of debris stuck between the seal. Cleaned out.
I removed the rear seats many years ago, and all is still dry.

Yeah, I was pretty surprised by mine as well. Siliconed over the clips and hosed it down good before I put it back together, seemed ok. However, I have it in my barn doing other stuff (valve cover emplacement because of clogged passages and failed seals, thermostat and ECT sensor because of AC off message) so it hasn’t been out in the rain.
