Vibration Driving me nuts
Really hoping someone has an idea here.
Have had a vibration in my h3 for about a year now. The vibration is pretty heavy and towards the center of the car. I can feel it under me as I drive. It only happens under load and is at its worst at 50 mph. If I take my foot off the gas or shift into neutral it goes away. My rpms are not bouncing and I can drive through it with no problem.
- have new tires
- alignments good and everything’s balanced
- mechanic had it for days checking u joints cv axles, tire rods etc etc. found nothing!
- only suggestion was to change trans fluid. The trucks at 82,000 miles.
Im at a loss here. I don’t want to start throwing money at it guessing as I had the engine rebuilt 2 months ago. If anyone has an ideas I’d appreciate it.

Get under it, grab the front drive shaft and see if you have any play at the CV joint.
Carefully inspect the rear drive shaft, does it still have the balancing weight from the factory attached, any dents?

Just replaced both U-joints on the rear prop shaft on my 06 and all vibration is gone. I went with Spicer U-joints which have the zerk fittings. Took about an hour and a half, now it is smooth and quiet going down the road.
