Question Ultra high-frequency noise from throttle body

Hi there!

So I can't remember when it started but lately there has been a very high pitch ringing sound coming from my throttle control system. It sounds like tinnitus, like those high pitch sounds older folks can't hear anymore (my father-in-law cannot hear it at all), but it's driving me and my wife crazy.

Things of note:
- I pulled fuses one-by-one and discovered it was something in the ETC system
- it happens when pressing down on the accelerator, even when only the electricity is on and the engine isn't running
- when the engine is running, it happens on its own when idling and coasting, and again when I step on the accelerator
- when the engine is off and just the electricity is on, it continues to make the sound even after releasing the accelerator, at least for a little bit, and stops when I hear the butterfly valve closing (it makes a loud *click* sound)
- using a stethoscope I determined that it's definitely happening inside the throttle body unit itself, and not the pedal or PCM

And here's the kicker: I have replaced the throttle body twice trying to solve this, the sound issue remains the same, they were brand new throttle bodies from different manufacturers.

I'm kind of at my wits end and grasping at straws about what it could be, maybe some kind of wrong amount of power going to the throttle body due to damaged wiring? Has anyone encountered something like this? I'm so hesitant to take it to a mechanic because what if they are also unable to hear it?

it is just servo squeal. try doing a throttle relearn to see if it helps any.

2007 does not have a retraining procedure.

Can a mechanic run a relearn program on it? Or should I be looking into getting a new ECM?

I truly don't think it's the air intake, further research suggests it's definitely servo squeal from the throttle body. My question still stands, is it worth getting a new ECM or is this something that can be "retrained" out?

You already did a relearn if the TB on it idles properly. You can disconnect the TB, reconnect it, then start and let ifle for 3-5+ Minutes without touching the accelerator, but I am skeptical that would do anything for your noise.
