I have removed all bolts
you meant nuts huh, 5 nuts the book says, not 6 bolts holding the adapter to the tranny.
the adapter bolts to the crossmember.

1. Drain the transfer case.
2. Remove the front propeller shaft.
3. Remove the rear propeller shaft.
4. Remove the transfer case encoder motor.
5. Disconnect transfer case electrical connector.
6. Remove 4 bolts for the cross member then there are 5 nuts between the t-case and the adapter.

You will have to wiggle it a lot or maybe even pry a little to get the t-case loose from the adapter. The threads on the 5 will restrict the movement until you get past them.

this may help also:

Thanks I will try again on my next day off, I guess I was not wiggling hard eniugh. I was afraid I would pull it off the jack stands. I tried a dead blow 4lb hammer. No help. I used a 2x4 and 10lb on my old chev 3/4 ton but was afraid i would break the case. Any great tips?

Pry a little bit around all the sides to get'er moving a little. Not all in one spot.

Just did a 2006 H3 150,000 miles in MI all it's life with salt, rust, dirt and krud all over it and it didn't take too much to release it from the adapter. Just double check to make sure the top nut is off.

MOVED. The Hummer Forums Help & Suggestion Center say stuck at the TOP.... do NOT post vehicle questions here.

You also should take down your phone number as putting on the internet will get you 100s of scam calls and texts as soon as the search bots find it.
