Default Transfer Case Fluid for 08 H3

Hi guys, I have an auto 08 H3, after doing some research people are saying Dexron VI auto trans fluid is what is recommended for the transfer case for 08+ models.
I thought I'd just check what my owners manual says out of curiosity, but it's saying to use Manual Transmission fluid GM part# 88861800 for the transfer case...
Now I'm confused as to which way I should be going. What are your thoughts?

Thanks for any advice

Dex VI is the GM recommended fluid. Supersedes the Manual Transmission fluid recommendation.
I prefer to change the Tcase fluid every 20k (every 4 oil changes @ 5k) on a daily driver. The fluid gets pretty nasty after 20k. Cheap insurance.
On my wheeler only H3T (severe duty use) I use Redline 75W90 GL-4 gear oil and change every year regardless of mileage.

The 2009 and 2010 owner's manuals both state: DEXRONŽ-VI Automatic Transmission Fluid. Those would be the last word on the topic.......
