Default Traction control button backlight

This question only applies to '09 and '10 models with the offroad package, where the traction control button is down in the accessory position (where offroad light switches can go as well). Does this button have backlighting? I've been replacing all the bulbs in my dash and doors that are out, but this switch isn't lit up and seems to me like it should be.

If it does, has anyone been able to replace the bulb in it (I assume it would be soldered in) and how does the switch come apart to do so?

Edit: Found the button, gm 25826759. Now I just need to know if it is supposed to be backlit and if anyone has been able to replace the bulb if so.

Sorry it took so long. I just drove my 09 offroad yesterday and can confirm that the TC button does have back-lighting. Wanted to make sure before I posted.

I am trying to keep my southern truck salt free as long as possible, so every time the roads get snow and salted it stays in the driveway. I got a beater with new tires for the winter roads this year.

Got no idea about the bulb situation as mine still works. Let us know if you get into it.

No worries and thanks. There was actually a new post on another forum (on a different topic) where a guy had pictures of the switch apart, I could see it had a bulb. I PM’d him and he said he cut tabs off the switch to get it apart. I put my dash back together so I have not tried it.

I was going to just buy a new switch, Amazon had it for about $13 so I put it in my cart. A few days later it went up to $22. Still a reasonable price, but I’m irked I didn’t get it at the low price. I’ll probably wait a bit to see if it goes back down.

I'd buy anew one and "experiment" with the old one. Just my $0.02

Yep, done. Amazon price dropped to $15 so I just ordered a new one.
