Hummer H3For the Hummer driver who wants the rugged look and off road capabilities of the Hummer, but in a smaller size and with a more fuel economy friendly engine.
After 85,000 miles and 7 years it was time to make a change. I decided to let my ‘07 Hummer H3 X go. It was a nice run. I feel good that in the end there were no faults, no check engine light, everything worked well. I needed something with more towing capacity and was ready for something with more comfort and modern amenities. Farewell to my H3.
I wound up trading it in on a 2018 Ram Laramie Ecodiesel. Dealer gave me $7500 trade in because it was in good shape. I hope it finds a new owner that will take care of it.
NADA says it was worth between $6800 and $8500 in the condition it was in. It was a Northeast vehicle and a lot of undercarriage rust. Engine was tired and I was beginning to see the low oil pressure light when the engine temp was up. Trouble was not too far down the road. I realize you’re a Hummer Lover “Hummers” but in the end, even though it was a good, fun 7 years, its a compromise of a vehicle. Excellent 4WD and fun to drive but poor gas mileage and towing capability with minimal storage. I got enjoyment out of it.
