Following the advice of our more senior members who spent more time underneath their rigs I went and pulled the wheels off and took a look.
looks like my lower control arm ball joint is bad and the tie rods are fine so I will be replacing those and hopefully that solves my current alignment issue.
from what I understand it is a Monumental pain in the rear so here's to hoping it's a nice good long thing to do during the shutdown.

 

The lowers are not that bad. Changing the upper control arms is much more fun if you ask me.

 

Agree, probably will pay someone to handle that inevitable job for me
