I can understand saving money, but really for $20 to have your interior looking stock and functional seems like a bargain to me.

PS I have the factory switches and they work fine and look great:

Are you insinuating H3s are expensive ? Maybe over on kangaroo island

As far as buying a 20 dollar switch, again there are far better deals.

And keeping it looking stock, you say? Your 3 looks nowhere near stock, so why waste 20 on stock switches?

I too like the look of clean stock dash that's why i recommended the stock fog light switch to the OP. When i added the front brush guard mounted fog lights and 54" roof mounted led light bar, i don't want to drill any additional holes on my dash. So with some research, i found out that the headlight switch from GMC Acadia is similar to the 08-09 H2 with the exception of 2 additional fog light switch. It's a little more $$ compare to any regular switches but it turned out ok and no additional holes.

Yes I do suggest that the are expensive at $75k plus taxes they are certainly not cheap, and not sure what part of my H3 is not stock?? The intetior is 100% GM down to the floor mats.

Exterior the only non genuine items are 33" tires (a consumable) and a led light bar. Have ordered a Magnaflow exhaust last week. So that will be the first mod as such.

I still say a $20 purpose made switch for a 75k vehicle is cheap IMO.

An H3 for 75k!?! Now I get why you spent $40 for two dinky switches. I bought mine for 20k certified preowned in 2009. Your exterior is nothing close to a "stock" H3, regardless of whether you've used geniune GM upgrades. No H3 came stock with chrome tow hooks, chrome hood handles, white side marker lights, white front marker lights, front chrome grill insert, and chrome rear taillight guards. Stock vehicle= Unchanged from the moment it left the factory.

-which also means by definiton means that a H2 with a GMC acadia light switch is no longer "stock" condition. But I digress

I'm done rag chewing over switches. You've got a good looking rig. Cheers

White side marker lights and front marker lights are standard, thats how they come out here, I see what you mean, but chroming a few parts does not constitute mods IMO, but might to some.

This is how a H3 comes out in Australia, this is the day I picked it up, 20K for a 2009 model, we can only dream, my 2009 would still sell for 40-50K today, we got it as a run out and payed just under 70K brand new off the showroom floor.

Most expensive vehicle I have ever owned, and will probably keep for ever.

I needed more than 2 switches, so I made a switch plate and mounted it in the lower console.

seems like you and i think alike, I did the same thing to my rig with a spare aluminum plate I had from an old computer, except I managed to fit 6 to control my rack lights, and added 2 spare for future lockers. I did this about 2 years ago...

Default Question regarding switch

I am new to the H2 world, I pick up my 2008 SUT this weekend, really excited. I would like to emulate what you did with respect to the Arcadia switch, however my question is. How did you solve your Windshield Washer switch as it is not included with the Arcadia Switch? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Welcome to HF.

This is an H3 thread, if you want info from Citiboy regarding his H2 lighting switch, either send him a PM or start a H2 thread and link back to this one showing the light switch.
