Hummer H3For the Hummer driver who wants the rugged look and off road capabilities of the Hummer, but in a smaller size and with a more fuel economy friendly engine.
Excuse my "newbie" questions as I am new to the Hummer world. Luckily right now I don't have the famous "sunroof leak" but I was reading through all the fixes for "when" I do, and I was wondering. I see that everyone does a lot of work by cleaning, pouring water down the holes etc. to check to make sure it is clear, etc. And obviously the sunroof is open, but my sunroof closes automatically whenever I turn off the ignition. Is that normal? Is everyone keeping the key in the "On' position or is something wrong with my sunroof that it closes automatically? Thanks, Paul.
We have owned 5 different H3/H3Ts form 2008-2010 none of them had an auto close feature. It is possible you have an aftermarket sunroof installed in your vehicle.
That could cause an UNSAFE condition if the anti-pinch fails. With ignition off, sunroof switch still operates until you open a door via RAP. Someone bypassed the door switch to allow "Auto Close" without pressing the switch?
There is nothing aftermarket. All original. Is there someway to maybe do a reset?
Nope. There are 2 tabs on the sunroof switch to hold it in place, push in the tabs and remove the switch, & check for aftermarket wiring connected to the switch:
