I did the torsion bar adjustment over the weekend, pretty simple.
I will take it down and have the alignment done this weekend, I wanted to let it settle down first.
OK, I can't decide on 305's or the 315's maybe some suggestions from the group.
It's a 2008 with 42,000 and it's my daily driver. I commute about 50 miles per day, it's never been off road and probably never take it there.
Use it in the snow up in Tahoe but that's about the only hard core stuff it sees.
The other question, shall I also purchase a matching spare?

Thanks!

If you not planning on taking it off road and most your commute is high way i'll go with the 305's

Always match the spare.

305/70R16s would be best for your everyday driving. A nice A/T will do well in the white stuff and look good also.

Thank you for the suggestions, now I've narrowed my selection to;

- Goodyear DuraTrac
- Nittro Terra Grappler AT

I've had my rig for almost 5 years and love it! Just starting to make some changes, after the tire upgrade I was thinking about catback exhaust. Going for dual exhaust, would that do anything for my 3.7 or am I just wasting $$?

I run a gibson extreme dual cat back, and it makes it sound a lot better. If you are looking for significant power gains, I would start with a ported throttle body and a PCM tune

Exhaust by itself will just change sound. However, as part of a complete performance package it can help.

Intake, PCM tune, PP Throttle Body, Efan Conversion and Cat back exhaust work very well together.

IMHO there is never a reason to put on foreign rice rubber over any American tire.

DuraTrac has become my new official house 4x4 tire, it also works great in snow.

If you are investing in expensive upgraded tires, do your self a favor and buy 4 plus a new matching spare. That way you can do 5 wheel tire rotations and get maximum life out of your investment.

Don't forget to then rotate all tires with every oil change!

(You might also want to consider putting some money aside for upgraded shocks when you buy whatever heavier tires you are considering.)

I got a set of 5 Cooper Discoverer AT3 LT305/70's a couple of months ago. Been very happy with them so far. Went from a set of Firestone Destination AT 265/75's to the 305's and now I realize how bad my old tires were. I chose the 305's because the 315's only had 12mm tread depth, but the 305's have 17mm. No snow driving here yet as it is summer, but the 305's have much better wet traction than the 265's had. 315's give you one more inch of ground clearance vs a 305, that and the look of a 35" tire is the only advantage to a 315 that I can see.

0.7" to be precises (as to Coopers and Mickey Thompsons).

Update;

Went down this morning to the GM dealer and got the alignment, tech said it was way off had to redo it twice.
Also ordered 5 Dura Tracs 305x70x16 should be in by end of week. FYI, I went to the local Good Year dealer and his best price was $1665 the GM dealer wanted $1875 got them at America's Tire for $1552 plus I'll get back $90.00 in rebates.
I spent an entire day searching for the tires of course nobody has them in stock.
Will post photo when all done and thanks to all for the help!
