Split-top radiator...I've joined the club!
Got home from work last week (Wednesday) and parked the H3. On Saturday, I noticed a puddle under it (nothing there on Thursday or Friday). Anti-freeze. Checked under the hood...Yup, the famous split tank, across the top on the driver's side, about 6" long.
Ordered a new OEM radiator from an eBay seller in Vegas; it arrived today. So I guess I'll be busy on Saturday!

Me too! I'm hoping whatever design flaw lead to this in the OEM piece, is not a factor in this aftermarket one. Probably just a fantasy...
I got 145K on my original, so hopefully this new OEM will last me. The hardest part for me (on the Alpha) was getting the lower radiator shroud separated from the upper shroud. I broke both of the tabs at the bottom, mainly because I couldn't see them and didn't really know how they worked (until it was off/broken
). Had to resort to heavy duty zip ties when I reinstalled. Oh, and the A/C condenser mounting bolt on the drivers side...Yeah, lots of room to get that in/out...NOT! One of the trans line clips fought me for awhile, but finally agreed to go back on. Other than that, it was pretty straightforward. Back on the road!
