Snow Problem?
Hello gents - Had a chance to drive in the snow this past weekend. Was pretty awesome. Just had one question, maybe one of you guys can shed light on this. So I was on a 8 lane highway and the two lanes on the righthand side weren't plowed so nobody was in them. Traffic was backed up for a few miles, and I was in a HUMMER... so I went for it. Probably 3-5" of snow on the ground at this point. So I'm cruising along about 25-30mph and some idiot pulls out in front of me from a dead stop. I coasted till I slowed down enough, and when I was coasting/decelerating, I noticed a loud almost cyclical thudding coming from the front of the car. Anyone know what it was? I didnt look at the dash, so im not sure if any of the Stabilitrac or ABS lights were on. Just wondering what it was or if it's normal.
I didn't have my foot on the brake, but I read up on the Stabilitrak system today and I guess it can initiate the brakes for you if it senses the vehicle is sliding...even without my foot hitting the breaks
