Today I changed my shifter boot. Straight forward change. But I put it in reverse, backed out, and headed down the road. Got to my destination, and the shifter will not go into park or reverse. I removed the boot and tried pressing the button on the side of the shifter, but nothing. I’m going to remove the shifter **** when I get home to check it out.

 

Sticking shifter button. Took off the shifter ****, lubed the inside and button, as well as the shifter shaft itself, reassembled, and back working.
