does anyone know how to close the Cross rails on an 07 H3? the bars are partially locked at the moment but the handle for the lock that should go flush wont. i noticed a little plastic piece blocking in from going all the way in. i cant put the caps back on because of this. did a full detail and ended up not knowing how to put them back on. feel dumb please help pictures are always nice couldnt find anything on the forum.

 

Post pics??? I haven't moved my rails in many years, yet I remember when I did move them they needed to be straight and some wiggle to get them positioned/locked in properly.

 

The cross rails need to be positioned to latch into one of the locking points on the tracks on either side of the roof. You need to find the locking point by jiggling the locking mechanism until it seats.

 

thank you i figured it out i was trying to mount my thule snowboard rack and moved them closer together couldnt get it to lock back in after
