Rear Seatbelt Stuck!
Hello!
Does anyone know how to fix a stuck seatbelt? It is the rear left passenger seat belt. It is fully retracted (how it normally sits) and when I go to pull it out it is locked. I tried many many times to work it to get it out but no luck. I then looked at the side panels but I am too scared to pull them out for fear they will break (I think they have just those plugs holding them in).

Yes tried probably a hundred different ways of fast to slow and variables in between. I am looking for help to find a source that shows how to disassemble. Need to find a way to take the interior left side panel off and the seatbelt.
If you get the retractor out DO NOT DISASSEMBLE IT! There is a clock spring inside and if you remove the spring cover it will take off like a buzz saw and you'll possibly get hurt and never get it back together. Remove it, try pulling hard and releasing the belt several times and see if it frees up (hold the retractor in body position when doing this or the 'vehicle sense' pendulum will cause it to stay locked). If that doesn't work order a new retractor and replace it. Trust me, I was a GM seatbelt engineer for several years.

I guess there is a disconnect between knowing how something works and figuring out how to fix it?
I have an old Pontiac that had a rear seatbelt stick because my nephew (who was 9 at the time) was messing with it. Got over-wound and the teeth got too tight a bite to let loose. Took two small screwdrivers, forced the teeth gear and clutch levers to release, pulled the belt way out, shot the mechanism with lubricant. Works fine, still have that Poncho.
Not the same as an H3 belt, but that is how you force them free.....
