ive got OEMs on mine. totally love them! i also considered rocky's, but i read a few threads about how some didnt fit correctly b/c the brackets were backwards. and, i remembersomething about only 3 mounting brackets instead of 4. they're really solid though, so you cant go wrong w/ either brand. however, id advise you to stick w/ these 2 only. neither are cheap, but they're worth every penny.

yeah dude, they're pretty easy. its kind of a b!tch to do alone at first as you have to hold the freaking things up while you place the bolts. once you've got them started, your hand will get tired from cranking the ratchet set . one thing to note when you install them (either brand), make sure you have the parking brake released as the cable (and housing) is right next to one of the holes. its a bit ofpain getting it seated in there correct, but it'll fit. also, if you go OEM, make sure to check ebay. i saved about $50 doing that.

good luck and keep us updated!

They are easy to install. I have the Rocky Road ones, took about a half hour to install with 6 bolts per side (3 arms). Got a friend to help hold them up as I bolted them in. Each rail is about 45 lbs! I like them as the are solid and can still function as a step though higher of course than nerf bars.

The Rocky Road ones have slightly oversized bolt holes allowing a bit of positioning but also making it easier to get them on.

I recently put the G.M. rock rails on my h3 and like them a lot. They give the truck more of a off road look. They are heavy and is best to have help with 8 bolts a side. Steve

Can you have the rock rails on and your chrome steps on at the same time? Your picture shows the steps installed can't tell if the rails are on there too.

You can't have the rock rails and side steps at the same time. I had the side steps when I first got it but switched to the rock rails. I don't have any pics with the rock rails yet. Steve

I have the rocky road protectors and am 100% happy. They went on with no problem. They were the same price as OEM but come with a life time warrenty. I have been to Moab three times and have dont a bunch of trails and I have come down hard on the rocky road rails and they have held up 100%
