My next "Bang for the Buck" Stereo Upgrade.
Replacement Speakers for the rear doors.....

Rockford Fosgate "PRIME series" 6 3/4, 3-way speakers.

Designed to be factory replacements, work killer & don't need a ton of power.
(remember, cheaper speakers work better with factory power, Expensive speakers with Huge magnets need more power)

They are so clean & clear sounding, compared to stock. I'm going to order a set for the Front doors too. Best part.....New, shipped $40.00 (E-bay)

Only Mods needed.

(Obviously) Have to switch connector/terminals (as with any aftermarket speaker)

I drilled out the four Mounting mounting holes to a bigger size. (needed to make factory screw hole line up)

Done, if you can switch terminals & drill 4 holes, 6 3/4" speakers are waiting for you.

Do you need to alter aftermarket or factory crossovers to use these or are they direct hookup?

dynamat or generic version on the outside of the box will go a long way towards your rattle free goals. It doesn't take much.

I can see a run on these components very soon..

One question: the front speaker set-up seems to be 6" doors with 1" tweets up in the A pillars. running 3 ways down low AND 1"'s up top may be too much on the high end.

Like these:http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rockford-Fos...item460c55fb7f

.Let us know what ohm those front door speakers are and if you have any window clearance issues.

Nice work!.

A nice component set would probably work better.

I'm just going Cheap-Ebay, Bang for the buck right now.

When I replaced the rear door speakers, The highs did get a little louder but the big thing was how much clearer they got.

I'll probably get the tweeters in today, so, we'll see how it goes. Should be fine.

I'm being cheap because I wanna do 3 BIG upgrades in the next 3-4 months.

Warn Winch
35" Kevlars
Front locker, iron housing.

Got the fosgate sub installed and I have that rattle you spoke of, next step is to add the carpet and poly fill as you suggested. Did you add the poly fill into box behind amp or in between amp and box or did you use carpet? kinda confused...please explain

Poly fill goes in box, pull the sub out & pack it in.

Tighten every screw holding it together

cut a piece of carpet foam the shape of the amp & install it between Amp & Box.
