Default Removing Center Dash Fan Vents

Is it possible to separate the center dash fan vents from the silver fascia? I can't tell if it's a strange tool, glued, or soldered together. Does anyone know? Has anyone separated it?

The reason is to upgrade the fascia with one that has a bigger opening so that it can take a larger screen.

Pretty sure it is intended to be permanently attached via form melted plastic rivets.

Yes it's possible, with Xacto knife, soldering iron, drill bit, etc. Question is, how are you going to reattach? Another question, where are you mounting the TC selector switch unit & HVAC control unit?

Oh mounting the TC Selector and HVAC control is no problem. My issue is simply separating the fan vent section. I kinda found a youtube video where he said he "cut them off" and then super glued it back. I suppose that's where the xacto knife and soldering comes in.

I don't see room for opening? Center dash panel is already packed full.
