Remote only works 6 inches from h3?

Default Solved!

B 4 u go buy a new BCM OR ANTENNA. Painstakingly clean ALL big connector pins. Both Male and Female. That was it! Scored! Even if they look clean. Scrape em with tweezers.. Dang this issue tortured me. FYI make sure your grounded when handling the PC board. Lots of surface mount top and bottom side ESD sensitive components..

Nice work! 99.99%(exaggerated) electronic failure rate, is at the contacts. That's why I use a cleaner and protector/insulator to the connection:

Yup I would have gone at that long ago, had I known the about BCM. Modern stuffs a bitch. That's why mechanic's charge 100 plus an hour. Stuff is not always black or white, nor is it easy. Its sometimes the simple stuff that stumps the best... Hard failures are fairly easy many times.. But yep poor grounds and other connections are one to ALWAYS be on alert for...

Passenger side footwell. Under right kick panel. It connects to BCM via miniature Coax. Then follows the side of the dash upwards. You must pull passenger side, dash side panel to access antenna clips. Pretty easy deal once you do it.

And that only works 75 percent of the timre, yes replaced all batteries.. I have had numerous sunroof leaks for yrs. Water damage? Idk.. I'm stumped. Please help. Thank you VERY MUCH. Remote use to work from inside my house with car 60 feet away! 2006 H3.
Sunroof leaks because of dirty drainage hole on the sunroof or the rubber tube came off. Open your sunroof and check the 2 holes. LEFT and RIGHT at the far end of the sunroof. Clean with a guitar string or flush with air.
