Default Random stability system issues

Note that I haven't actually experienced any driveability problems from any of this. That's not to say it's not a real problem, of course.

Randomly, I get the "skidding truck" LED lit up (traction control or stabilitrak system I guess) and an error message that says "Service Stability Sys, Traction Failed." Searching for this revealed a lot of people getting this along with an ABS warning and a message about Reduced Power. I get neither of those, and power seems fine.

Often times, both the LED icon and warning messages will disappear. Sometimes they'll come back later, sometimes they won't.

Note that I get no LED in my Traction Control switch, and it's not obvious to me if it is doing anything. My transfer case switches all appear to work fine.

I would suspect the front panel circuitry, due to the light on that switch. I've also lost backlight in the climate controls, so I know there are issues in that general area, but I wouldn't think a problem there would generate that Traction Failed scenario...

A possibility is that an ABS sensor is failing, but not enough to cause an ABS fault. Check your front wheel bearings.

My backlight for Traction control doesn't work either. Although I have never had any codes pop up in regards to my stability or traction, until last night. They popped up, my rear passenger side locked up breaking all my lugnuts and I lost my tire! Luckily I was only going about 30 mph. So no real damage. I would look into what is causing your messages and get it fixed. Please post what you find so I can follow!

Yikes...that doesn't sound good at all. Will definitely post when I figure it out.
