Are there any issues upgrading the stock 6 disc changer radio. To something new like an alpine and keeping existing monsoon speakers
ive seen various internet posts that say since the radio communicates with ECU they have problems

Short answer, NO. The 6 Disc Changer has no speaker outs, just low amp level outs, so get the correct adapter and you are good.
