Hello I bought my 2006 Hummer H3 in January of 2021. It has the sunroof that has not worked since ive owned it which is not an issue for me. I make a point to watch out for leaking when it rains heavy and it never has. Today for the first time ever the button to open the sunroof started leaking, not the sunroof but the button itself. The only thing I can think of is the drain plug, Im watching videos now to check on that. I am just wondering if anyone else has had this issue and what they did? Admittedly I do not know much about cars as I am a girl in my early 20s, but I come from a family who is into cars and works on cars so I try to do what I can at home before consulting a shop. I have help but no one in my family has any knowledge on a hummer and we are struggling a bit with this issue. I do not wish to remove the headliner as I am in a very busy stretch of time right now but I am not opposed to that if required as I will use it to replace the headliner but I do not want to remove it unless I know what Im looking for so I can repair whatever is needed while I have it exposed.

 

No need to pull headliner. Just drop the front down a bit to have a look. There are now great videos out there to lovely follow. Good luck.

Your Sunroof Drains are plugged. Does not matter that you cannot or never open it. Read this and do some Google searched for how to fix the drains............. Finally, a fix for clogged sunroof drain tubes
