Hummer H3For the Hummer driver who wants the rugged look and off road capabilities of the Hummer, but in a smaller size and with a more fuel economy friendly engine.
Nothing looks broken to me. Push it back on. You will hear it snap into place.
We have had 7 H3/H3Ts they have ALL come off at one time or another.
Truthfully, pulling hard on it is the only way to remove them from the cable too.
There's a tapered 'clip' that's part of the cable that goes into the handle. The handle has a little window type opening on each side that the clip snaps in to. I have a clip removal tool that works perfectly to reach into the little windows and squeeze the clip to release the handle with out doing any damage to it.

There is a piece in there that is moving. Looks like the end of the cable part.
It appears I could salvage the handle as I got the broken pieces out.
It is the tip of the cable plastic that broke inside the handle, so it is the cable that needs to be replaced because of the broken plastic tips that interlock into the handle.
How do I replace the cable? Any advice on what to do? I am blind on this.
Scratch that, I just looked at mine, looks like a small wing clip, compress with needle nose pliers to remove. You should be able to remove this cable in 5minutes. Just make sure all the other cables are free before you break it again. GL
