Anyone have any idea what it costs to paint the rear quarter panel on the h3? I went through a car wash and both sides were scratched. I have no clue what this costs and I want to make sure the company doesn't shaft me on this. I don't want to turn in on my insurace. Oh color is black.

 

you would have to take it to a body shop for an appraisal. especially if you have to take the car wash to court.

 

If you are operating on the assumption that turning in an insurance claim hikes your rates..... you know what an assumption is worth. You have an obligation to timely report any claim for damage. Your insurance carrier would then recoup whatever they pay by subrogation to your rights against the party that negligently caused damage to your vehicle. Means your insurance company handles the claim against the car wash and you are done. That is one reason you have insurance to begin with.

Mess around with getting a estimate, repair, payment from the car wash long enough, and the insurance door will be closed.

BTW you could buy a black finished rear fender flare and replace the entire thing for less than $200 (no paint or body work) but we do not know the extent of what was damaged without a pic.
