What’s the mileage? Mine started doing the same thing at about 142k miles. Cleaned the throttle body and changed my oil sensor then rpms came up just enough at idle that my oil light went out. Everything was good unless the engine saw hotter temps, like in heavy traffic with the a/c running or at idle when towing. Then the light would come on. If I touched the gas and raised the rpms just a touch it would go out. Sidebar to this I also have been noticing a drop in gas mileage and my Hummer now seems to down shift more often when climbing steep overpasses on the interstate. I think the I5 is just getting “tired” from the high mileage and all the towing I’ve done over the years.

I think im at approximately 165,000 It's doing EXACTLY what you just described. I cleaned the throttle body, MAF sensor, replaced oil switch, replaced intake and exhaust solenoids, cam sensors. My temp does tend to run on the high side as shown in the picture so I'm wondering if I have a thermostat going bad or oil pump.

We would appreciate it if you would AVOID digging up OLD Threads to tack a question on the end.
