I often see it recommended to get a quality ODB II tool, but I haven't seen any recommended by name. Can someone give me some specific recommendations or links? I have a $40ish scan/clear tool, but I would like to see startup data. Also question on that. My ODB II port seems to be loose. I have to press the connector down to get it to maintain power. Autozone had to do the same thing, so I know it isn't the tool. Is there any way to replace the port? Thanks.

Awesome thanks! I actually found an old thread on the readers, so I guess this is all I need them I'll probably pick up one of those Bluetooth always connected ones.

 

dont go to cheap on the BT interface. some can cause U1000 communication issues on the vehicle can bus.
