Hummer H3For the Hummer driver who wants the rugged look and off road capabilities of the Hummer, but in a smaller size and with a more fuel economy friendly engine.
yes, I tried a new passlock sensor that has 2 screws holding it on. Does same thing. I didn't replace the full ignition assembly. Looks like that has a rivet that needs to be drilled out to remove. Don't want to do all that and it's not the problem.
The sunroof question was important. When was the last time you cleaned the drains for the sunroof? Has you passenger side floor ever been wet after a rain, like the nearly 3 inches we got 2 weeks ago???
When sunroof drains are not maintained, they get plugged, the sunroof drain tray overfills and leaks onto the headliner and down the passenger side A pillar onto the BCM which is mounted behind the passenger side kick plate. Gets the carpet wet. Causes all kinds of electrical issues, including yours. There are a couple very good threads here on how to fix the plugged sunroof drains, check the floor and give them a search. Do not blow compressed air in them.
Thank you for the reply. The car is stored in a garage most all the time. I have not ever got water on the inside before. I keep the car really clean and detailed.
[QUOTE=hummerz;369909]Did you check for signs of rodent infestation?
I tried a new sensor and it didn't change anything. When you turn the key on you can see the gas and temp needles go down little more. So they are getting some kind of electric signal. Dies the sensor on the right of the ignition only control key functions? What fuse would power gas and temp gauges?
