Hummer H3For the Hummer driver who wants the rugged look and off road capabilities of the Hummer, but in a smaller size and with a more fuel economy friendly engine.
Im on the fence with this.. I have an 07 H3 , its got 34k on it and I just had it professionally repainted and replaced all the plastics around the windows and roof..The truck looks and smells new from factory now... beautiful ... I put some chrome pieces on like the piece that goes on the hood with the grab bars, the chrome door handles and gas cap liner thing.. and Im working on picking a set of new aggressive tires and chrome wheels which Ill ask questions on this later.. still working on.. so... I also want to put some nerf bars on... I saw these and want to know if anyone has ever applied them on thier H3 or H2 and how they look and also some opinions... are they cool or absolutely retarded looking.. I want to get a feel for it.. they are not cheap.. thanks for opinions Bruce hese exhaust-styled side steps have the look and feel of raw power! I appreciate the comments... I liked the added chrome look but was ? on the side pipe thing.. so seems like most or all feel it looks stupid... so unless someone has a positive comment or has put them on thier hummer.. I guess Im going back to the drawing board to choose another look for nerf bars.. there are a whole multitude of them out there.. so Ill look at some more just never saw this one before and they made it specifically to fit a H3 so they must not sell many or any.. as I couldnt even find a pic online of one on someones truck.. Thanks again for the comments..
Unlike many on these forums, I am not really a fan of the total black out look (particularly wheels); I actually like some chrome. My Alpha is black with chrome grille, mirrors, door handles, and rims. Maybe it's my age (58).
As for nerf bars/side steps; hate 'em, took mine off the day I bought my H3, along with the front grille guard. I'm planning on building a simple and understated pre-runner style front bar (black), and the only side rails that I will consider is actual rock sliders (also black).
Sorry, but those side pipes, IMO, are absolutely hideous.
