Default Need help with light bar install.

I added a light bar to my bull bar and want it to come on with my high beams. (No need to tell me it’s illegal, etc)

I’m trying to figure out the best way to access the high beam circuit.

I was was going to use an “add a circuit” to power the relay for the light bar but there’s no “high beam” fuse. The closest thing I can identify is the beam selector relay.

So so unless someone has an idea to tap into that, my only other option seems to ve to quick splice into the wire at the headlight plug. But which of the two wires that lead into the plug are for high beam?

any other ideas or advice is greatly appreciated.

Ill post pics pics upon completion.

This is how several of us have tapped into the brights to have our foglights go on with them. You could possibly tap into that same headlight terminal to send switching power to your relay for your lightbar. I don't think you would need the diode, as this was just to keep foglight power from backfeeding into the headlight brights when the fogs were on with low beams. If you don't have any other power source feeding your lightbar this shouldn't be necessary. DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK!! Before THIS fix I tried something else and fried my BCM.

So I can basically stick a small wire into #86 and run that to the relay for the light bar, right?

It worked for the fog lights, but I can't confirm with certainty that it will work with the relay. I think it will be alright, but, as I said, do it at your own risk.

Try this. I modified the 2007 H3 headlamp circuit to include your relay and your new lights (lower right). Your relay will only cut on when the high beams are on. There is no added load to the headlamp circuit, Good luck with your install.
