Question Mystery Problem- Need Help!

Hello- so we have a 2010 H3 with a mystery that our normal shop can't figure out. I have also spent many weeks googling with no luck. We were driving on the highway in beginning of July and all of a sudden the H3 seemed to put itself into Neutral. It was still on, just if you hit the gas, nothing. Pulled over. Turned the car off and freaked out. Turned it on and still won't go. Then after turning the key 5-6 time but not completely turning it, H3 now works fine and can drive away. Then, after hitting 55mph, same thing happens. Pulled over and did the same thing, and then it works again. Went through this about 3 times and then decided to turn around from our vacation and drive home to get our other car, 2 hours going under 55. So that took about 4 hours lol. Anyhow, took to shop and that's when the mystery began. had it for about 2 week, decided all they could figure out was the transfer case motor. So had it replaced. Drove to the highway, and voila! Still doing it. Went back, had them take that out because why spend $200 on something that isn't broken. Then after continuing to drive the car to work, just not on the highway, tried the highway and everything was fine. For a few days. Then it started again. Anyone have any ideas? Dealer wants to charge an arm and a leg to try to "figure it out" and I'd rather not play guessing games at $120 an hour. Any ideas or help would be great. Thanks!

Maybe overdrive in transmission? Did the shop even drive it when they had it or did they just look at it?

How many miles on the H3 would be important to know when asking any question.

There are no lights or codes. Mileage is 92500. The guy did drive it before he "fixed" it and encountered the problem. He did not drive it afterwards I guess.

When was the last time the trans fluid and filter were changed?

Is the trans fluid level where it should be, does it look red, or is it burnt brown and stinky, doe it have any oil or coolant in it?

Check your engine oil, is it milky?

Check your coolant, is it clean red/orange fluid w/o any floating brown crud?
