Lower gasket conversion kit for the 3.7l

Can anyone please tell me what this gasket is for?

Looks like a seal to me, not a gasket.

Almost looks like the transmission filter tube seal. Any clue of where it came from?
I'm still trying to figure out what the title of the post has to do with the question.

This comes with a lower gasket conversion kit. I found out that this gasket goes in the oil pump of a 3.7l Colorado and not a 3.7l hummer.

And.............. that would be the same... a ____ year 3.7L Atlas motor is the same, Chevy, GMC, Hummer, makes no difference. Each model year uses the identical power plant.
