Default lowering kit question

I am thinking of ordering a kit to lower the hummer by 3"

Lowering Kit 3" - 04-09 GMC Canyon 4WD

Does anyone have any experience with such a kit? i want to lower the truck but not spend too much.

The best thing would be to to trade in the Hummer and buy a 2wd lower truck or car. It gets very expensive to "properly" lower something that is 4WD/AWD that was not meant to be lowered.

Not sure what city your from but up here in N.Y.C. it would be better to raise it up and add 37" tires to absorb the moon crater potholes better. But to each their own, Post pics when your done !

You can ask as many times as you want, but LOWERING a Hummer is still a bad idea, especially with that cheap *** kit!

I'm curious as to how lowering would make it easier in the city?! Have you ever rode in a lowered vehicle? 8 out of 10 ride rough as hell, even with good kits. I know first hand, my Saleen sits on the ground...but then, it's supposed too. Another question, what are your plans for shocks after you lower it? Would the front OEM shocks work with a 3" drop?
