Looking to purchase a H3
Hello, I'm new to this kind of thing. Hopefully this works.
I'm looking at a 2007H3 that has 145k on it. What are the chances that work already has been done on the valve and head issues? Is there anyway to find out?
Suppose no work has been done, is there a cleaner or additive to the gas that can help with keeping the valves clean so we don't have problems in the future?
Thank you for your help

Do more research. The head valve seat issue did not apply to anything other than 2006 H3s. The S/Ns affected is any 2006 H3 lower than 287591.
Use top tier type fuel.
You are looking at a 15 year old vehicle with reasonable miles so if you are not capable of performing some basic maintenance or doing some simple repairs, might want to look newer.

Thank you for your quick response and information. I will do as much research as I can. As far as repair work goes I can pretty much do almost all maintenance. But the big stuff like dropping trannies and pulling motors is behind me. I never considered a Hummer until I saw one for sale last week. My car was totaled in a storm last month and I like the opportunity of something different. As for me you can't get much different than a Hummer. Thank you again for your quick response and any information you have in the future will be much appreciated.
Thank you . I called a few of them. Omg! It's cheaper to pay for the repair than it is for the warranty. 5 to 6 thousand for 3 to 4 years. And 2500. for the valve job if it would even need one. But I will continue to research. Thank you for your response
