Default Knock sensor

I have 2007 hummer h3 3.7 that I am currently rebuilding the engine. It shows on the diagram that there are 2 knock sensors… but I only could find one on my engine. Where is the other one!?

You're rebuilding the engine yet still unable to see there's only 1 located on the left/starter side.

i know there is only one but the stupid service manual on https://schwarttzy.com/wp-content/up...UZsZCBc1o2bgFs

states that there are 2! That’s why it doesnt hurt to just want to double check and make sure I am not blind

The earlier models of the Atlas engine series had two knock sensors. The H3 only has one.

I just did a rebuild on my 2007 3.7 not too long ago. PM me if you have any questions about anything.

I appreciate it. I took it completely off and resurfaces both blocks at the machine shop. Changed the back balancer chain and tensioner and new seal and I cleaned the pistons so well and just replaced the rings on them and put them back there . And I did a valve job on the cylinder head and changed the seals . Also polished and cleaned the crankshaft and got not bearings for everything. Just waiting on few more parts and I’ll start putting it together .

The 2006 H3 3.5L had two, that changed with the 3.7L. The 3.5L and very early 3.7L also had to cam shaft position sensors, but that went down to 1 as well.
